LATEST ANNOUNCEMENTS

Everyone is a friend at Pole Creek. We try our best to let everyone know they are loved and always welcome here. We hope you'll visit us on a Sunday or Wednesday evening for worship, learning about God's Word, and of course, fellowship with others.

IMPACT TOMORROW TOGETHER  

The Impact Tomorrow Together commitment plan has been rolled out. Let’s pray about how God will use each of us and how much we can commit financially. Let’s make the CHOICE individually, as a family and as a church to step out in faith.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR:
       * Pick up your 21 Days of Praise Guide and watch social media for the daily praise     
       * Friday, November 16, 6 pm until Saturday, November 17, 6 pm, 24-Hour Prayer Vigil. We will have
         times for you to sign up to come to the church to pray or to pray from your home.
       * Sunday, November 18, 6 pm, commitment celebration dinner in the Fellowship Hall

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL AND DINNER THEATER

Saturday, December 1, the Pole Creek Worship Ministry will present the musical drama “One Quiet Night”. This will be a dinner theater presentation and tickets are NOW ON SALE at the Welcome Desks and church office, $10 each. The tickets MUST be purchased, and paid for, by Sunday, November 25. TICKET IS REQUIRED. Let’s invite the lost and unchurched.

DON'T FORGET THE HOMEBOUND SAINTS* DURING CHRISTMAS

In the lobby, you will find a Christmas Tree covered in paper ornaments. On each ornament, you will find the name and contact information of one of our Homebound Saints. The Homebound Ministry Team asks that you take a name (or two), pray for that person, call them, maybe a visit, send a card and give a small gift prior to Christmas. Gift ideas are socks, facial tissues, gum, hand candy puzzles, books, calendar, lip balm, notepads, stationery, devotional books, etc. If you have any questions please contact one of the Homebound Ministry Team Members, Gail Franklin, Carolyn Stamey, Susan Parham, John & Tammy Heath, Sherry Mauldin, Susan Partain, Ruth McElreath.

In the lobby and the connector hall, you find a list of names and addresses if you would like to send cards.

*Homebound Saints are those unable to join us for regular services due to health & other afflictions.

THANK YOU POLE CREEK FOR YOUR GENEROSITY

Look at what God did! Thank you Pole Creek Baptist Church Family for your heart for Home Missions. We sent 75 very FULL backpacks to children in North Carolina and West Virginia as part of the NC Baptist Appalachian Backpack Program. When combined with those from other churches, Buncombe Baptist Association will be sending a total of 648 backpacks.

OCC PACKING TRIP TO CHARLOTTE SIGN-UP TODAY

We will be going to Charlotte on Friday, November 23, to the Operation Christmas Child Distribution Center to pack the shoeboxes. We will leave the church at 7 am. Please sign up in the connector hall, if you plan to go.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY CHRISTMAS PARTY

Sunday, December 2, 12:30 pm to 3 pm, Children’s Ministry Christmas Party. This is for children birth to Grade 6. Details coming soon. Contact Mrs. Terra for more information.

SNACK PACK MINISTRY

This is a ministry that will be active during the entire school year. We have started this school year packing backpacks for 50 kids with the possibility of increasing. Please remember to contribute to this worthy cause. As of Sunday, November 4, we have collected $2,218.50. Thank you Pole Creek family for your giving heart.

GRIEFSHARE 

GriefShare is a recovery support group for those who have lost a family member or close friend through death. Each weekly session is self-contained so you can begin at any time. We are here to help those who are grieving the death of a family member or friend. The current cycle is schedule through Monday, November 26. We will meet each Monday, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Pole Creek Baptist Church, in the office conference room.

BAPTISMAL POLICY FOR MINORS ADOPTED

Pole Creek Baptist Church has adopted a policy regarding baptizing children under the age of 18. Members can access the policy in the member section of our website at http://www.polecreek.org/member-login. SCHEDULE FOR THE CREEK CONNECTION

The Creek Connection newsletter is published on a weekly basis, each Thursday. Be the first to know about new events and activities by receiving The Creek Connection in your email inbox. If you are not receiving it by email and would like to be added to the list, contact the church office or make a note on your Connect Card in the bulletin. There will be a limited supply of printed newsletter on Sunday.  Each week there will be announcements, upcoming events, church vitals, thank you, etc.  Approximately, every four weeks the newsletter will include an article from our Senior Pastor and one from the Cultural Impact Ministry Team.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any announcement that is not concerning a church event or activity will be found in The Creek Connection, our church newsletter. This will include births, deaths, weddings, memorials, thank you cards and other announcements of this type. 

PRAYER LIST AND PRAYER REQUESTS

On the MEMBER LOGIN section of our church website http://www.polecreek.org/member-login you will find the most recent prayer list, as well as a form to submit your prayer requests. You will also find a place to submit prayer requests, hospitalization or upcoming surgeries. We also encourage you to list prayer requests on the Connect Card in your bulletin.  Or you can contact the church office at 828-667-4053 during regular business hours, M - Th, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

If you want to stay up to date with all the songs we're worshipping to at Pole Creek Baptist, simply subscribe to the Spotify and follow "Connected to the Creek - Songs We Sing".  Or if you want to be practiced up for Sunday Service visit our website www.polecreek.org/worship mid-week to listen to the songs that will be part of worship the following Sunday.

Did you miss a sermon or want to share the message with someone? You can now access the sermon video via the website www.polecreek.org or via the Pole Creek app. You can listen now or even subscribe to podcast of the sermons from the website or the Pole Creek app. 

MEMBER LOGIN SECTION OF THE WEBSITE

In the MEMBER LOGIN section of our website http://www.polecreek.org/member-login. You can log-in using the User Name and Password. Once you log-in you will have access to some information that is being shared with only our members, such as the Prayer List, a form for requesting changes to the Prayer List, a list of the members' contact information (that will be updated periodically), as well as, some administrative information like the budget and any job openings. The ministry says “Our food is unconditionally given to families and children in need, and the good news of eternal life through Jesus Christ is shared with the recipients as situations allow. This may mean someone placing their faith in Christ for the first time or someone growing more mature in following Christ.
