2018 CARRY YOUR CROSS 5K RUN / WALK - SATURDAY, MARCH 31
This is a unique race, suitable for the whole family, held on Easter weekend where you actually carry a 4ft. length of 2x4 lumber across your back for the final 2/10 of a mile uphill! Looking to be challenged physically and spiritually? Come join us for a run that you won't soon forget. You and your friends can sign up for the run / walk. Friendly competition! EASTER SUNDAY - APRIL 1
Sunday, April 1, is Easter Sunday. We will begin our day at 7 am with Easter Sunrise Service in our lower parking lot in front of our Family Life Center. Bring chairs, blankets and your Bible as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Immediately after the Sunrise Service, you are invited to the Fellowship Hall for breakfast. This breakfast is a fundraiser for our student ministry as they raise money for summer camp. Bible Study follows at 9:45 am and Worship Celebration at 11 am.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DEACONS BEING ACCEPTED
We are accepting recommendations for deacons now through April 15. Each member has the opportunity to prayerfully consider his/her recommendations and to contact that person to assure that he is willing to serve if elected. A list of the current deacons and those rotating off can be found here. If you prefer a paper copy those are available in the lobby and the connector hall.
Anyone who has lost a loved one or friend is invited to attend. Also, anyone who may be interested in ministering to the grieving is also invited. CARPENTERS FOR CHRIST
Carpenters for Christ is an organization that seeks to utilize the skills of Christians in construction projects by traveling anywhere in the world to assist missionaries and other mission-oriented organization primarily in the area of construction and evangelism. There will be a team in Candler during April to assist Maple Ridge Baptist Church in the construction of a new church building. PCBC will offer our FLC as a place for these folks to bunk during the month of April. If you meet someone new on campus during that time, please give them a big Pole Creek welcome. AND if you are interested in construction and would like to volunteer some of your time on the Maple Ridge project contact Pastor Steve at 828-707-1774.
